I was asked to provide a CD to audition for a possible DJ gig in town.
My initial reaction was to flat out refuse for the absurdity of it. Playing in a NM bar, for country music fans... Probably not the best idea. Maybe a few could be converted. Maybe I'd get shot.
After some careful consideration, I decided it was better to produce the audition material. My goal was to make something honest, sometimes pretty, and (of course) hard.
It's a job application, and a warning at the same time.
