My book is comprised of fifteen 'photo stories' - each a single black-and-white photograph with an accompanying short story that combines the real-life circumstances behind the image with a healthy dose of imagination, spun into a lyrical, child-friendly narrative.
For me as a (semi-) former photojournalist, Photo Stories is an experiment, a play on traditional formats and expectations. An attempt to bring documentary photography to new audiences in new ways.
