La Quadrature du Net is one of many organizations working to defend the rights and freedoms of citizens on the Internet. In this post I try to explain what this means to those who know little or nothing.
I probably will not succeed, but it would be rather important, because today, paradoxically, in the information society (which still is not the knowledge society, unfortunately), the common opinion is surprisingly stereotyped. This creates barriers that do not facilitate the understanding of new phenomena.
Another important barrier is language, especially in a country like Italy, where people who are able to communicate in English are too few, compared to international standards.
If I write in Italian I lose foreign readers. If I write in English I lose the Italians. The writing of all the blog posts in two languages is exhausting.
So let's do an experiment, with which I write in Italian but I think in English and at the same time, ask the opinion of Google Translator, with the goal of clarity in both languages. It may be that losing elegance in both languages. No matter, I have no particular academic or literary ambitions, but only the desire to write clearly to the greatest number of people possible.
