Famous Pictures:The Magazine! Your definitive source of information for the world's most famous images, power pictures, cultural snapshots or the defining images of our time.
This project is trying to document what non-work images are the most famous. Other sites widen the scope and try to document every image that was ever iconic but here we focus on images that are still part of the global consciousness. We are based in North America which has skewed what images we view as famous but we have tried to expand and included images like the Iraqi Solider who burned to death. The picture was not seen in the US but is iconic overseas.
