Last month the European Commission said it would refer ACTA to the European Court of Justice for it to judge if the controversial anti-piracy treaty is incompatible with fundamental rights and freedoms. Now the European Parliament's trade committee has voted not to refer ACTA after all, meaning the treaty could be put before a vote in the full Parliament as early as June this year.
