Lighty is an open source webserver powering many of the biggest websites on the internet including TPB. It also powers flattr.com
From highly scalable websites to small embedded systems like routers, lighty is used in a huge variety of systems - mostly behind the covers.
It's developed by volunteers who get no money for it and even pay out of their own pockets to keep lighttpd.net online.
