It's as much about the love as it is the money x There are two types of things on the internet. Those that are free and those you pay for. There are also those that you should pay for but get for free, for the sake of this blog post we'll remember that this is generally illegal and ignore it. The problem with the free stuff, whether it be photos, videos, blogs or whatever 90% is crap, 5% is just plain wrong and the remaining good five percent gets lost in the sea of mediocrity. There are ways of getting that small margin of good content to the attention of the masses; liking, digging and stumbledupon-ing to name but three. That's all well and good, if something is funny, creative or whatever it will find itself bouncing round the internet incredibly fast and far but then the moments gone, a day or so later and the next big thing has taken over. The author, if even credited at all, is forgotten, maybe a few more hits on their website, a few more subscribe
